The Commission on Evangelism has partnered with Global Media Outreach in a program called Always Ready.  In this program, local church people are equipped to become on-line missionaries. They respond to inquiries made by seekers and new believers through one of the 112 web sites operated worldwide by Campus Crusade to share the Gospel.  Samuel Ruggiero, an elder at Landisville Church of God, was one of our first missionaries. He has now been on duty for four months as part of our ERC conference-wide community. Sam has been in dialogue with Sumi Denia, a 26-35 year old resident of Ghana. Sumi recently indicated a decision to pray to receive Christ as her Savior. One of her follow-up questions is: “How if I did lots of sin, would Father Jesus still accept me?”

Sam has completed his basic four-week training from a GMO leader and now uses his own understanding of God’s Word assisted at times by the hundreds of templates that have been created to provide guidance for answers. Here is Sam’s response, written on October 14, 2010–the day after Sumi’s decision.

I’m glad you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, Sumi! I would like to help you know Him better. Go to for your nxt steps. I was very glad that you asked your question hat if you did lots of sin, would father Jesus still accept me. Sunni, do you understand what guilt is? Maybe you don’t understand the greatness of God’s forgiveness. Sumi, when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, God promised that He would never stop forgiving you, no matter what you do wrong. Look at this scripture from His words: I John 1:7 states the following, “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” What that means is that God continues to purify us even while we are trying to live the Christian life. He does that through the blood of Jesus Christ, the blood that saved you when you accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. You see Sumi, God has done a truly awesome thing. What you did just now is to believe in Christ and what He did for you. He sees you as completely holy and pure, without any faults. Nothing can change the facts in God’s Word. That is where you put your faith, Sumi, the facts revealed in the Bible, not your feelings which I sense in you with your question. So when you have those feelings of guilt, go back to the facts. God loves you and through Jesus Christ who died on the cross for you, loves you also.

“How may I pray for you? If you have any other questions, please write back.

God bless you,
